In 2020-21, about 43 percent of Strivers (Annual household income is from Rs. 15,00,000 to Rs. 30,00,000 at 2020-21 prices) lived in rural areas. About 10 percent were located in small towns with less than a million inhabitants, while 36 percent were residents of metros with over 5 million inhabitants. By the end of the decade, the proportion of Strivers living in rural areas is expected to decline a little bit but by 2046-47, 45 percent of all Strivers will live in rural areas.
