Change in Household Density by Income Categories - Telangana

In terms of density, or the share of Rich households, Telangana is much better off. Andhra Pradesh’s share of Rich households is 2.4 per cent compared to Telangana’s 3.4 per cent, and the Middle-Class density is 24.2 per cent versus 37.1 per cent. Andhra Pradesh’s Destitute households’ share is 13.5 per cent versus Telangana’s 9.6 per cent.  There has been a marginal improvement in the state’s income demographics between 2015-16 and 2020-21. The proportion of Destitute households in the state has dropped from 11.5 per cent to 9.6 per cent, while the proportion of Seekers has increased from 27.5 per cent to 31.7 per cent.
