The proportion of Aspirers (Annual household income is from Rs. 1,25,000 to Rs. 5,00,000 at 2020-21 prices) living in rural areas is expected to increase, from 69 percent in 2020-21 to 77 percent in 2030-31. As in the case of other income classes, a higher proportion of people is found in rural areas and small towns. Nearly 18 percent of Aspirers live in small towns with a population of less than a million. Under 5 per cent of Aspirers live in metros.
